COSMUN 2026 gathers delegates at Mehmet Kemal Coşkunöz MTAL in Bursa to debate the questions that define our era. Draft resolutions, build coalitions and negotiate under the rules of procedure used by the United Nations itself.

Dear delegates, advisors and distinguished guests.
It is now my great honor, as Secretary General, to welcome you all to COSMUN26.
We live, ever more so, at a time when conventional diplomacy perpetually lags behind raw reality. COSMUN26 was never meant to be another run-of-the-mill conference where people just read off a script. It was built from the ground up to challenge your instincts and throw you headfirst into the deep end of contemporary statecraft.
In the coming days you will have to ride out toxic crises, bargain on short notice, argue for positions you may well not personally support. Writing entire committees that are authentic, demanding, unpredictable is why our academic team is known to spend countless hours.
Take the floor with confidence. Listen more than you speak, but really move the room when you speak. The best delegates are not the noisiest delegates in the room, but those who can turn chaos into leverage.
